
Dr. Anissa Gamble was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where her passion for dentistry began as a child while being a patient at York Dental.
She earned a Division I hockey scholarship to Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med with a minor in Chemistry. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Experimental Surgery at the University of Alberta, publishing her research in islet cell transplantation in several academic journals. Dr. Gamble later worked as a researcher at the University Health Network in Toronto while also playing professional women’s hockey in both the CWHL and the PWHPA.
Dr. Gamble went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Western University, where she combined her love of research and community by studying oral health barriers for people living with diabetes. She also served as captain of the Mighty Dents Hockey Team, organizing fundraisers in support of CAMH and the Wright Clinic.
Today, Dr. Gamble is passionate about delivering high-quality dental care that focuses on patient health, comfort, and overall well-being. She provides a wide range of services including nitrous sedation, extractions, root canals, and more, always with a focus on making patients feel comfortable, supported, and educated in their care.
Outside of the office and off the ice, Dr. Gamble enjoys staying active outdoors through hiking, camping, and traveling.
