Dr. Barton is dedicated to making sure every one of her patients has an enjoyable experience and she always encourages open and honest communication.
Dr. Barton comes from Woodstock, and in true Carleton County fashion she grew up playing hockey. She went to the University of Maine, where she played Division I hockey while she completed her undergraduate degree. After graduation, she moved to Boston and worked at a Harvard Medical School research laboratory doing research in Haematology and Oncology. After deciding to pursue a career in dentistry, she went to Dalhousie University, where she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Science degree in 2017. She was the class valedictorian, and received numerous academic awards, including the 2017 Dr. Frank Woodbury Memorial Prize, the 2017 Canadian Dental Association Student Leadership Award, and the 2017 CFAO Dr. Norman Levine Undergraduate Student Award. She continues to pursue leadership in dentistry and is the current President of the Fredericton Dental Society.
Outside the office she enjoys staying active and taking her dog, Ella, on adventures. She and her partner, Tim, are involved in Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Fredericton and they love every minute spent with their Littles.
